In late October my sister came for a week visit and we visited Wupatki and Grand Canyon South Rim. Here are some snapshots I took:

This is a picture my sister shot of me atop the Cathedral ruin. I like it because it captures what I love to do in life

The Cathedral ruin in Wupatki from the base looking up to where I was standing in the previous picture.

Looking at the walls, they used near by rocks including volcanic boulders thrown from a nearby volcano

A nearby rock formation shows where the red and whitish colored rocks used in the walls came from.

These ruins are across a ravine and among several visible from the road or other ruins but without a pathway to get to them

A couple days later and we were off to the Grand Canyon for 2 days.

First light into the canyon
If it looks like a lot of the pictures are mostly the same, they are. As it turns out the whole South rim park with tram service and lookouts is situated within a single horse shoe shaped side canyon. So you see a lot of the same towers from different angles under different light facing the North rim park. There is WAY more to explore!
