Available through Land Rover dealers throughout the United States, the Explorer was designed to meet a growing demand among sportsmen and outdoor-loving families for a light-weight, comfortable unit that could be transported on a 4-wheel drive Land-Rover into an off-highway site and deposited, leaving the basic vehicle as unencumbered transportation.

The camper was made by Travel Industries, Inc. of Oswego, Kansas.  It weighs 590 pounds, sleeps 4, has a galley and dinette.
