I think  maybe this is a view looking South from Ceder Mesaa few miles North of the Valley of the Gods.  I had camped along the Morman trail of 1880 the night before.

1998 or 1999 newyear's trip on the Mojave trail

1997 camping alongside a river in British Columbia

1997 somewhere in the Four Corners area. When the trail is free of low branches  I tend to trail with the roof vent open during hot summer days.  I think this was the trip when I discovered that bungie cords were no substitute for tie down straps.  There were a couple times on rough trails when I found a 10L jerry can of 90wt oil dangling alongside my side window by bungie cords.
