Optional rear side door
insect screen for the Land Rover Dormobile. This screen hangs
from the top of the door by three "U" shaped hooks and is secured
by two bolts at the bottom. The bolt holes are rivnuts. The frame
is galvanized steel. The screen is bent over the edges and secured
in place by the frame pressing against the door. A foam rubber
strip rests between the screen and door to protect the paint
and provide a tighter seal.
Also note the mounting location of the optional night navigation
lamp to the rear of the screen. A UK law required vehicles parked
alongside a road at night to have a light to let oncoming drivers
know the vehicle was there.
